Elevator Design Solutions was established in Melbourne in 2001 by the current Directors, Scott Veal and Neil Corbett.  Scott and Neil are both experienced and well respected lift mechanics.  Their many years "on the tools” and later, lift company management experience, has enabled them to develop and manufacture a range of products in Melbourne that are widely regarded as being technically superior and better value than imported lift packages.

Scott and Neil started designing and manufacturing lifts in response to the demise of high quality lift manufacturing in Australia.  They take pride in their range of products that meet the standards of the exacting Australian Lift Code. 

In late 2007 Elevator Design Solutions decided to sell direct from their factory to the public.  This means that the customer receives good value while their lifts are built up to a standard, not to a price.

Even though EDS believes that “form must follow function” to ensure safety and a “bullet proof” product, aesthetics were a key focus during the initial design period and continue to be a driving force in products currently under development.

Elevator Design Solutions took the radical step of consulting widely with local architects, builders, interior designers and the end users to create a product with flexible finishes to ensure that people can create the look that they want, not simply what overseas manufacturers can provide.  EDS can customize like no other company!

Key elements of good design are ease of installation and integration of product into the construction process.  Having been construction managers on large and complex jobs, Scott and Neil understand this and have designed their product accordingly to make the job on site as simple as possible.  Being a local manufacturer they are able to provide solutions to complex situations in a cost effective manner that leave companies with imported product floundering!
